Born in 1981, Jérémie Bennequin began his studies at the Palace University at Strasbourg pour les achever à Paris, where he lives and works. Known for his work on Proust - the scrub of In Search of Lost Time - or Mallarmé - on the poem A Shot of Dice Never Abolish the Chance - this time he focuses his attention on the journey made by Baudelaire to Mauritius in 1841.

These are poems written during this stay in Mauritius and reworked by Jeremiah Bennequin.
