Born in 1981, Jérémie Bennequin began studying at Palais Universitaire at Strasbourg pour les achever à Paris, where he now lives and works. Known for his work regarding Proust  – the scrub In Search of Lost Time – or of Mallarmé – on the poem Un coup de Dés Jamais n’abolira le Hasard  this time, focusing on Baudelaire's trip to Mauritius in 1841. 

Artist book on Olin paper, signed and numbered from 1 to 120, formatted in 4°.

The work includes poems written during his trip to Mauritius, which are reworked by Jérémie Bennequin. It also includes a charcoal drawing of a figure meant to be the "Creole Lady" from  Baudelaire's work (Stérile Volupté).
